Gratings, Inc. is a research and development firm that specializes in microstructural and nanostructural approaches to different challenges facing the microelectronics and power industries. Among our specialties are lightweight ultra-thin photovoltaics (solar cells), solar cell texturing, schottky devices, basic moleculartronic devices, and low-cost monocrystalline semiconductor substrates, including ultrathin Silicon-on-quartz, Germanium-on-Silicon and Gallium Arsenide-on-Silicon. With our expert staff of 6 with diverse backgrounds, we are taking on a number of challenges in these areas, and are able to suit many of your custom design and fabrication needs in our 1400 square foot, class-1000 clean room. From custom oxidations, diffusions, and patterning, to anisotropic etches, metallizations, and the characterization techniques to match, we have the capabilities to meet the challenges we face.
